Packing Dream

So last night I dreamt that I was packing to come home from a trip.  The weird thing about that for me was that I was not using ziplock bags for the toiletries.  That’s just something that I don’t do.

The Invention of Pants

You know, with fall quickly approaching, I stated thinking about pants again and how useful they really are.  They are really practical, come in all shapes and sizes, and insure that we don’t see more of our friends or colleagues than we care to.

It makes me wonder… who invented pants?  Was it done on a particular cold or drafty day?  Perhaps an inordinate amount of leg hair was involved in the decision.  If you stop to think, it is kind of fascinating.

Maybe there was a contest held all those years ago in a kingdom somewhere to address this concern?  I would have really like to have seen the runners-up :).

“Your Majesty, may I present to you “Leg Wrappings”.  Fine leather straps that you wrap around your lower appendages which will keep you warm!  Just try not to run or bend…”

… Ironically enough, Madonna would use this as the basis for her in concert costumes.

“Your Majesty, our solution is at hand!  All that needs to be done is to cover our legs in tar!  It is already abundantly available and once dry will act as a barrier to protect our legs in the harshest of conditions!”

… And that is how leg waxing was invented.
